Well Court
Dexterous and orderly, this contemporary living space apartment sits within the historical Well Court.
dRAW’s very own holiday home is situated right upon Well Court, an original Victorian model housing build with recent restoration, you can now experience the beauty of the property amongst others in Dean Village through The Edinburgh Address.
Commissioned by Sir John Findlay, owner of Well Court, had old tenements cleared away to allow his new housing to be built. Architect, Sydney Mitchell designed the Victorian property whereby it was later completed in 1886. Recent major restorations to the building was carried out within 2007, using only traditional materials, establishing the overall building back to its original appearance.
dRAW later renovated the apartment in 2015, luxuriously appointing the space with two modern bedrooms, bright living area, fully equipped kitchen and stylish bathroom with shower. We wanted the renovation to be tastefully designed with a fresh, light and stylish decor, definitely unique for Edinburgh. The placement of art, different objects, soft furnishings and lighting create this elegant experience, balanced by its contemporary kitchen and bathroom.
