Terraced House on the Common

The scheme proposed a new interior layout conserving the existing features of the original front living rooms but improving the functionality and flow of the remaining ground floor space. within the layout to make it a functional family home.

The middle living room was knocked through into the kitchen to create a sequence of spaces which allowed light to penetrate from the new sliding doors deep into the house. The side return was demolished and a glazed roof installed along the length of the side infill extension. The kitchen design is contemporary with grey cabinetry, a marble worktop and large format concrete looking tiles creating an elegant, but practical kitchen for the requirements of a modern family.

The principal rooms were designed with a subtle palette of soft wall tones, oak parquet flooring and grey soft furnishings to tie in with the existing interior aesthetic.
