Concrete Box
A large Fulham house combining heritage features with contemporary concrete extension.
This existing Victorian house in the heart of Fulham had been previously renovated and extended but was in need of modernisation. Our brief was to create a space for the family to entertain and relax together.
The traditional footprint of the house was redesigned to link the individual living spaces within the ground floor. Glazed metal doors were installed between the traditional Victorian front room of the house and the hallway which flood the area with light.
The hallway leads through into a newly designed contemporary living space, walls were knocked through and a larger centralised kitchen area was created to make a lovely light filled area for the family. A new side return was designed and built with a geometric profile and an exposed concrete exterior that contrasts beautifully with the London Stock Brick of the existing rear facade.
