Terraced Property on the River
An elegant and bright renovated period maisonette overlooking the River Thames.
This existing dwelling located adjacent to the River Thames in Barnes, was in much need of revitalising. With its unique charisma and surroundings, it is a highly desirable living space in South West London.
The traditional footprint of the maisonette was imagined by rescheduling existing living spaces that were not functional for contemporary use. Thereby, opening up these areas for better flow and vast internal scope. On entrance, glazed metal doors were installed between the classic front room and the main hallway which flood the area with luminous light. Continuing through to the rear kitchen, style exudes from every piece of this classy home whilst still owning the traditional style and tailored conventional features.
A loft extension was designed by dRAW and constructed to bring greater guest occupancy, consisting with a generous bedroom and en-suite allowing a longevity of daylight adding depth and highlighting the glamorous bespoke interior finishes. We also completely redesigned the structural qualities of the existing side wall to the terraced property, allowing further structural work to be implemented for enlargement and internal reconfiguring.
