Glass Box
This London home focuses on the transmittance of light through its private loft extension and large quantities of high quality glazing.
In this South West London home, the glass box dissolves the boundaries between indoor and outdoor space, the futuristic first floor extension sits unapologetically against the traditional London stock brick.
In contrast to the open glass box, the loft extension creates an additional bedroom and bathroom sheltered from the busy road by the sloping roof. It was designed alongside Maxlight who helped maximise important light transmittance to the loft bedrooms without compromising privacy.
An open plan living is utilised downstairs with the hallway flowing into living and dining spaces through two openings and a large open kitchen.
